"The Proving" by Beverly Lewis is about Amanda Dienner (Mandy) coming back to her hometown after her mother died to run her mother's bed and breakfast inn. This is a story about Mandy who left the Amish life and having to face why she left plus forgiveness. Also there is a side story of one of the people who visit the bed and breakfast which was an interesting one itself. Amish books are usually so cliche but this was its own story without all the standard types. It was a just an overall good story about forgiveness and what we think we seen may not be the whole story. Also it is a story about how being open to change and God's work in our lives. I highly recommend this book as it is one of Beverly Lewis's best books.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from Bethany House. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
A blog about books and whatever else comes to my mind.
