"Every Frenchman Has One" by Olivia de Havilland is a
memoir is about the author learning how to live in France after marrying a
French man. Now you are probable wonder why do should this book be
interesting about some American woman learning to live in France well one this
is a more well off woman. Also if you are not an older film fan then you
may not know that the author is a famous actress well known for her role in “Gone
With The Wind” as she played Melanie Hamilton the wife of Scarlett’s love
Ashley Wilkes. So to me this was a very interesting book on what Olivia
had to learn about while starting to live in France in the 1950's. It was
a well written book and fast paced for a memoir. I love how she was
honest about what she was feeling and her actions. It was a fun,
refreshing and overall good book to read. I highly recommend this book
especially if you are a fan of her movies.
I was given this book from NetGalley for
my honest review and was not required to give a positive review.
